We had been warned. More specifically, I had been warned. However, nothing could have prepared us for that day. I was given watch over Elysium, and before I could see the events, they had already begun.
Somewhere I had neglected to pay attention. I had been warned that History on my dear Elysium would repeat itself, and Chaos would reverberate through the planet. At the time, I thought it was some kind of joke. I had failed to look into it. And yet, here it is.
The History I speak of was the first time that she was brought to the surface, her dark tendrils weaving around my friends. Lenoria and Ameius had brought about a kind of destruction that I knew was going to be the end of my beloved planet. We thought, after a few millenia of Elysium surviving on it's own, that perhaps destruction was not coming. That these people would survive, and thrive on their own. But still, I kept a watchful eye.
However I seemed to miss it. The Children... I had been unaware that all three of the ones that had been sent had reproduced with the Elysians. It wasn't until recently that I even found their lines. But by the time I did, it was far too late.
The Child of Lenoria. He had been kept a secret for such a very long time. Hidden within the Walls of her people. Treated with such profound respect. And yet, I had been blind to him. Until he escaped. Perhaps Lenoria herself had hidden him from me.
As for the other. The Bringer they called him. A son of Ameius. This silver haired boy had done it. I hadn't realized it would be them. But perhaps it was fate...
I had watched them for awhile. Unlikely friends in a cruel world. Their friendship was touching. I watched the Child of Lenoria very closely since his first appearance. I hadn't realized that his new friend was the Bringer. None of us did. Perhaps he wasn't even supposed to be there. But he was. It was inevitable. And I saw it too late...
The arrow struck the Child down, his body returning to the sea, returning to the purest form of magic. I watched as the sea began to rise, the storms coming in from a distance. I watched the guards haul the Bringer up into the towers. It was at this time that I knew we needed to get him away from them. this boy had some connection with the Chaos. And I desperately needed to understand why.
I sent Cat down to retrieve him, as I watched my beloved Elysium fall farther and farther into despair.
The storm and rising seas destroyed the Walls. The people of Terra saw that as an opportunity to go and claim as many lives of The People as they could. Battle broke out. As for the rest of Terra, sands whipped around it, the desert storm quickly claiming lives, destroying homes.
Passed that, mountains shattered, volcanoes erupted, earthquakes tore apart the Arumangi. Beasts began to turn on the tribes, more lives were claimed...
My beloved Elysium had been taken from me...
And I will do whatever it takes to get it back.
